Embracing Divine Worth: Meditation, Reflection & Letting Go for 2025

As we step into 2025, many of us carry silent burdens—those nagging feelings of not being good enough, of somehow falling short. Healer Duane Krause’s monthly meditation at the Church of the Spirit invited us to let go of these feelings and embrace the divine truth: we are perfect as we are. This wasn’t just an abstract affirmation; it was an opportunity to reconnect with ourselves on a soul-deep level.

Krause’s message was clear: self-acceptance and self-love are not luxuries; they are essential. “How wonderful you are as you are,” he reminded us. “You are perfect as you are. You can change if you like and still be perfect.” These words resonated deeply, challenging us to reconsider the narratives we hold about our worth. Why do we so often measure ourselves against impossible standards when the truth is that our uniqueness is our divinity?

The meditation itself was a lesson in slowing down. Krause encouraged us to put intention into our breath, observing each exhalation as an act of release. With every breath out, we imagined the tension leaving our bodies, old patterns and self-doubts swirling away, drawn down the drain. This simple yet profound practice offered a tangible way to let go of the old ways of doing things—to exhale not just air but the weight of “not enough.”

A pivotal moment in the meditation came when Krause posed two questions: “What are the qualities you are proud of?” and “What positive quality do you have that you may not have been aware of?” These questions invited us to look inward with kindness and curiosity. They reminded us that we are each a unique expression of divine energy, and that acknowledging this is not vanity but a form of sacred self-recognition.

As empaths and spiritual seekers, we often focus so much on others that we forget to congratulate ourselves for simply being. Krause’s meditation was a call to pause and honor the beauty of our individuality. It asked us to recognize that we are always in motion, always breathing, and that this dynamic state of being is part of our perfection.

For me, the most transformative takeaway was the realization that self-love and self-acknowledgment are practices, not destinations. They require intention and attention, much like our breath. In this new year, I am committing to making these practices a daily ritual—to inhale the truth of my worth and exhale the illusions that no longer serve me.

As you reflect on Krause’s meditation, I invite you to join me in this commitment. Let us all take a moment to acknowledge the divine perfection of who we are right now. Let us celebrate the qualities that make us unique and remain open to discovering new aspects of ourselves. And most importantly, let us remember that we are—and have always been—worthy of love, acknowledgment, and pride just for being.

May 2025 be a year of deep breaths, tender self-acceptance, and joyous self-discovery.
